If the players are all still betting, the hand with the best combination of cards wins. Aside from the main pot, there are also side pots, which are created from additional money bet by the remaining players. These side pots can be large and can contain many players. If a player folds before the final betting round, he only wins the pot that he contributed to.
The minimum hand required to make the first bet is sometimes a pair of jacks. A player with this hand is required to make their first bet before the first draw, and the remaining bets are paid to the player with the best hand. While this may seem confusing, it is an essential part of the game.

The minimum bet is usually a small amount. If the pot is worth more than this amount, it makes sense to call if it is a better bet.
Often, the most valuable hand in a poker game is called the “nuts”. A player who has a pair of sevens is considered to be the “nuts.” Typically, the top pair is ace and seven in the hole. On the other hand, if a player does not have an ace or seven in the hole, the best hand is a five-card straight.
