“Stuck” means you are unable to move an object or make a decision. It can be a jar lid, a car stuck in traffic, or your indecisiveness. The verb stuck is derived from the Old English root stician, meaning “to pierce, fasten, or cling to.”
Stuck can be a psychological state, wherein you find yourself unable to move on from a situation. It can happen to anyone, including teenagers, and can be induced by lying or situations. One example is an argument, in which one person makes a valid point but the other person does not. Moreover, some people become stuck in drug abuse, in which they experience a state of nirvana. These people are so content with themselves, they feel that they control everything around them.
