When it comes to love, there is an enormous amount of research done on the feelings and behaviors that people have. Much of the research done is on the different types of love and what the brain areas respond to them. Love is actually a complex set of behaviors and thoughts characterized by intense affection, intimacy, commitment, and romance. It involves caring, closeness, desire, protection, romance, and emotional intimacy, all of which can change and vary over time.
When you are in a romantic love relationship, you experience brain activities that support feelings of affection and romance. Your brain areas associated with feelings of affection and romance are located in your limbic system. This is part of your brain that is responsible for generating and storing happy experiences and memories. These memories and happy events provide you with a sense of security and safety and may be what you are looking for when you feel that someone else is just around the corner.
However, you will find that there are many different types of feelings and emotions related to romantic love. When you are in a relationship with another person, you are experiencing many different types of feelings. Some of these may include desire, safety, security, power, belonging, and desire. In addition, when you are in a romantic love relationship you are also experiencing many different types of physical responses as well.
One of the main responses to being in a romantic relationship is increased blood flow to the limbic system. You may notice that there is an increase in heart rate and adrenaline as well-beings that are typically associated with feelings of affection for another person. There is also an increase in serotonin production as well-this increases feelings of affection and security. As well-you are generating other types of chemicals such as dopamine, the neurotransmitter that generates feelings of pleasure, as well as epinephrine, which helps to maintain blood pressure. These chemical changes are often times related to your emotions as well-anxiousness, fear, envy, worry, intimacy, anger, contentment and so much more.
In conclusion, you can observe that when you are in a romantic love affair, you are going through quite a few different physical and emotional responses. Some of these responses are good and some of these responses are not so good. Nevertheless, you might say that these physical responses help to reinforce feelings of love and affection towards another person.
